After shutting out the Atlanta Braves on Opening Day Thursday, the New York Mets look to take the second leg of a three-game series on Saturday. (Game Time: 1:10 p.m ET, TV Schedule: SNY)
Knuckleballer R.A. Dickey takes the hill for the Mets after going 8-13 with a 3.28 ERA last season, including a 2.45 ERA over his last 12 starts. His counterpart will be Jair Jurrgens, who was 13-6 with a 2.95 ERA in 2011.
The Mets earned a 1-0 victory on Opening Day thanks largely to Johan Santana's first start since 2010. Santana went five innings and gave up two hits and two walks while striking out five, all after missing the entire 2011 season to recover from surgery to repair the anterior cruciate capsule in his left shoulder. Ramon Martinez picked up the victory in relief when the Mets scored their lone run in the sixth inning.
