The New York Mets and Houston Astros will kick off their three-game set in Minute Maid Park on Monday.
The Mets are coming off a 6-5 win in 11 innings on Sunday afternoon against the Colorado Rockies. Houston on the other hand fell by that same score to Cincinnati.
New York (13-9) will have R.A. Dickey on the mound tonight. Dickey has been up and down thus far in 2012, posting a 3-1 record and a 4.44 ERA.
The Astros (8-14) counter with Bud Norris, who has been knocked around to the tune of a 5.84 ERA. Norris won't get much offensive support with Houston's challenged lineup, so he needs to be sharper.
The Mets have to be feeling good with their youngsters hitting so well. Kirk Nieuwenhuis is batting .316 while Daniel Murphy has a .311 average and Ruben Tejada is up there at .310.
Of course, David Wright is absolutely crushing the ball with 14 RBI and a .397 average.
If New York is going to keep the good times rolling, Wright will need to continue with his hot bat for the forseeable future.
