Mets Vs. Giants Score: Mets Win 5-4 On Buster Posey Throwing Error

The New York Mets took game two of their four game series with the San Francisco Giants on Saturday, which included a wild ninth inning.

Leading 4-1 going into the ninth inning, the Mets brought in their closer, Frank Fransisco, attempting to save his fourth game of the season. He lasted only one third of an inning, as he allowed two hits, walked one and gave up three runs. Tim Byrdak and Jon Rauch came in to clean up the mess, but Rauch gave up the game-tying RBI double to Brandon Belt, sending the game into the bottom of the ninth, tied at four.

Lucas Duda led off the bottom of the inning with a single and was then pinch ran for by Scott Hairston, who was bunted to second by the next batter. A walk and an infield single followed, loading the bases. With the bases juiced, Kirk Nieuwenhuis grounded into a fielder's choice, but the game-winning run scored on a Buster Posey throwing error.

The series is now tied at one and game three is scheduled for 1:10 PM on Sunday.
