Dwight Howard Trade Rumors 2012: Los Angeles Lakers Emerging As Orlando Magic Favorite, According To Report

The Orlando Magic have focused on the Los Angeles Lakers as their favorite potential trade partner in the Dwight Howard sweepstakes, according to a report from Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports on Tuesday.

Wojnarowski reports that the Magic are intrigued by the prospect of adding Andrew Bynum in a deal for Howard, but would also want the Lakers to include draft picks and absorb at least one of Orlando's long-term contracts.

The Brooklyn Nets acquired Joe Johnson from the Atlanta Hawks on Monday, but are still looking to trade for Howard using a package highlighted by Brook Lopez and Kris Humphries.

The Magic are reportedly lukewarm on New Jersey's package, but Brooklyn remains Howard's top destination and other teams could hesitate to trade for him if he's unwilling to sign a contract extension.
