For now, the New Jersey Nets and Orlando Magic have resumed talks about trying to put together a blockbuster trade for center Dwight Howard. A deal, however, is far from being completed as many kinks need to be worked out, including this doozy involving a mid-level Nets' player:
According to Yahoo! Sports'Adrian Wojnarowski, a league source says the key to the Nets acquiring Howard is the contract of forward Kris Humphries, who's now become one of the key pieces in a possible bluckbuster deal. For talks to continue, says Wojnarowski, a third team will need to get into the mix and be willing to sign-and-trade him.
In December, Humphries resigned with the Nets and is currently making between $7-8 million. Whether a team besides Brooklyn is willing to pay Humphries that much cash will be interesting.
