Brook Lopez Signing: Brooklyn Reportedly Agrees To 4-Year, $61-Million Max Deal With Lopez

The Brooklyn Nets have apparently given up on the Dwight Howard trade for the summer as they have reportedly re-signed center Brook Lopez to a max deal of four years and $61 million (via Adrian Wojnarowski). A fifth-year option is not reportedly part of the deal (via Sam Amick). Lopez is expected to sign the deal on Wednesday night. Once Lopez signs with the Nets, he won't be trade eligible until Jan. 15, 2013.

Lopez only played five games last season and averaged 19.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 0.8 blocks per game in 27.2 minutes per game. For his four-year career with the Nets, Lopez averages 17.4 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.6 blocks per game.
