Jeremy Lin Free Agency Rumors: Lin Not Happy With Knicks

Jeremy Lin isn't very happy with the New York Knicks right about now.

The overnight sensation feels the team should have offered him a contract before the Houston Rockets put an offer sheet on the table of four years and $28.8 million, according to ESPN.com.

"He was surprised that the Knicks didn't make the first move," a league source said. "They know they've got to mend some fences with him because he believes what the Rockets have told him, that the Knicks weren't as interested as they are."

Lin hasn't signed anything with Houston, but he did verbally agree to an offer sheet. The Knicks can start matching any deal on Wednesday,, which would bring him back to the Big Apple.

"What he has to learn is that it's not personal," the source said. "The Knicks merely played by the rules.''

Whether or not this is a complete non-issue going forward is to be seen. However, New York can't afford any slip-ups going into a season where they expect to be championship contenders.
