The Toronto Raptors announced Tuesday that they will play the New York Knicks in a preseason game at the Bell Centre in Montreal on Oct. 19.
The Knicks have already added a pair of veterans this summer in Jason Kidd and Marcus Camby, and might not be done maneuvering as they are hoping to move Dan Gadzuric's non-guaranteed contract in a sign-and-trade for a cheap free agent.
New York has re-signed J.R. Smith and Steve Novak, and is expected to match Jeremy Lin's offer sheet from the Houston Rockets. With those moves, the Knicks will be looking to build on last season's nucleus while hoping for significant contributions from Kidd and Camby.
The Knicks and Raptors also played in Montreal at the Bell Centre during the preseason in October of 2010. The Raptors beat the Knicks in front of a sellout crowd of 22,114 fans.
