The 2012 NBA Draft is scheduled for June 28 – in less than three weeks. Although the New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets both surrendered their first round selections, via trade, the New York region will still be interested in the first round – where local prospects, Moe Harkless and Andrew Nicholson, are projected to be selected.
Draft Express came out with another edition of their mock draft on Saturday. Here's where they have Harkless and Nicholson being drafted:
20. Denver Nuggets: Moe Harkless
24. Cleveland Cavilers: Andrew Nicholson
Harkless, the freshman small forward from St. John's, averaged nearly 16 points per game for the Red Storm in 2012, along with nine rebounds, two assists, 1.6 steals and 1.4 blocks per game. DX says his best case scenario, in NBA terms, is Trevor Arizia.
Nicholson is compared to Ryan Anderson, of the Orlando Magic.
