2012 NBA Draft Rumors: Andrew Nicholson Unlikely To Drop Past Boston Celtics, According To Report

Former St. Bonaventure star Andrew Nicholson is "unlikely to get past the Boston Celtics at Nos. 21 and 22" but could be selected earlier in Thursday night's 2012 NBA Draft, according to a report from Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.

Wojnarowski reports that the Houston Rockets (Nos. 12, 16 and 18) and Denver Nuggets (No. 20) are also interested in the 6-foot-10 power forward, and that both teams will consider Nicholson with their picks.

The Celtics are reportedly interested in packaging both of their first-round picks to move into the lottery, so they might not even have the 21st and 22nd selections with which to choose Nicholson.

Nicholson averaged 18.5 points and 8.4 rebounds during his senior year at St. Bonaventure, leading the school to its first NCAA tournament berth in more than a decade. He added a three-point shot to his repertoire, hitting 23 of 53 triples (43.4 percent) as a senior after attempting just 23 combined during his first three years.
