2012 NBA Mock Draft: What Can The Knicks And Nets Do With Late Picks?

Excitement around the 2012 NBA Draft has been limited for fans of the New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets. Neither team has a pick until late in the second round of the draft, so free agency has dominated the conversation for both teams. Nevertheless, they will have the chance to add a some young talent to the mix on Thursday night.

The latest mock draft from Jeff Goodman at CBSSports.com goes two rounds deep. The Knicks picking at No. 48 go with Florida State forward Bernard James in this scenario. Goodman's rationale for the pick:

The Knicks need a rebounder -- and that's what James does best.

The Nets take IUPUI shooting guard Alex Young in Goodman's mock draft. The explanation:

He's not George Hill, but this IUPUI product can make a team.

The draft starts at 7:00 p.m. Eastern on Thursday night, and the event will be broadcast on ESPN.
