A new crop of players will officially make the jump to professional basketball when the 2012 NBA Draft gets underway on Thursday night. For all the rumors and speculation about how the draft will unfold, there has been no suspense as to the New Orleans Hornets will take with the first overall pick. New Orleans will go with Kentucky's Anthony Davis, a consensus top pick. The selections after that are harder to predict and are likely to fluctuate as trades happen.
The draft starts at 7 p.m. Eastern on Thursday, June 28, at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. Both rounds will be broadcast on ESPN. Additional coverage starts at 5:30 p.m. on NBA TV. The event will be streamed online at ESPN3.
