2012 NBA Draft: 4 More Players To Workout For Knicks

The New York Knicks will hold workouts with four more prospects on Monday in advance of the 2012 NBA Draft, Knicks PR tells Knicksblog. The four prospects are:

  • Oscar Bellfield, G, 6-2, 190, Nevada-Las Vegas, Senior
  • Marcus Denmon, G, 6-3, 185, Missouri, Senior
  • Harouna Mutombo, G, 6-4, 200, Western Carolina, Senior
  • Erving Walker, G, 5-8, 177, Florida State, Senior

Denmon may be the most interesting prospect of the four. Here's Draft Express on the shooting guard:

Though he is responsible for 20 percent of Missouri's offensive possessions and 22.6 percent of Missouri's total field goal attempts, he has continued to play the same brand of extremely efficient basketball, shooting 53 percent from 2-point range and 42 percent for 3, while coughing the ball up on just 9 percent of his possessions and averaging only 1.3 turnovers per 40 minutes pace adjusted. This is particularly impressive given his expanded role as Missouri's primary scoring option.

The Knicks have been working out quite a few draft prospects. Whoever they end up selecting they only have one pick, so fans hope they make the most of it. The Knicks pick 48th overall, having dealt away their first-round pick some time ago.
