Jamal Crawford has opted out of the final year of his contract with the Portland Trail Blazers and the New York Knicks are one of the teams he'll consider in free agency, according to Sam Amico of Fox Sports.
Amico reports that Crawford is also expected to show interest in the Miami Heat, Los Angeles Clippers, Sacramento Kings and Cleveland Cavaliers.
The 32-year-old averaged 13.9 points, 3.2 assists and 2.0 rebounds during 60 games with Portland last season. He shot very poorly from the field (38.4 percent) and has never been known as an efficient scorer, though he has been an explosive one for most of his career.
Crawford opted out of a deal that would have paid him $5.25 million in 2012-13. The Knicks are not expected to have that much money to spend.
