NBA Draft Rumors 2012: Moe Harkless Could Go Anywhere From Late Lottery To No. 25, According To Report

Former St. John's forward Moe Harkless is "a bit of a mystery" entering the 2012 NBA Draft, a scout told the Boston Herald.

Harkless is a skilled, 6-foot-9 forward with perimeter talent, who possesses a desirable package of length and athleticism which intrigues NBA scouts. After averaging 15.3 points and 8.6 rebounds during his freshman season at St. John's, he was named the Big East Rookie of the Year. He's also young, just 19 years old, but still largely undeveloped, which leaves teams wondering whether he'll live up to his vast potential.

The confusing nature of Harkless' draft stock leaves his place in June's draft difficult to project. According to CBS Sports, he is drawing interest from certain lottery teams but could fall to considerably later in the first round.

There's interest from the likes of Milwaukee (12), Phoenix (13), Houston (14 and 16). Several NBA executives told CBSSports.com he could go anywhere from the late lottery to No. 25.
