Knicks Vs. Heat, Halftime Score: New York Trails, 44-38

The New York Knicks trail the Miami Heat at halftime, 44-38, at Madison Square Garden in Game 4 of their first-round 2012 NBA Playoff series.

New York got Amare Stoudemire back for Game 4 and he has played limited minutes in the first half. Stoudemire has been efficient from the field (3-4) and aggressive despite the wrap on his damaged hand. His aggression led to three early fouls which contributed to his time on the bench more than the hand.

The Knicks had a 20-18 lead after the first quarter, but a slow start to the second quarter allowed the Heat to build a 30-20 lead over the first five minutes that gave them a cushion to work with for the rest of the half.

Knicks center Tyson Chandler, who has only scored one point in the game, had some of his frustrations boil over in the second quarter and was assessed a technical foul for this play.

Neither team has shot particularly well from the field. Both the Knicks and Heat are shooting under 40% from the field and are a combined 0-17 from behind the arc at the half. Carmelo Anthony is leading New York with 18 points at the break. LeBron James and Chris Bosh have scored in double figures for the Heat with 15 and 12 points, respectively.
