Amare Stoudemire Injury Update: Knicks Star Says He's 'Doubtful' For Game 4

New York Knicks power forward Amare Stoudemire and coach Mike Woodson are at odds. Woodson believes Stoudemire will play in Sunday's Game 4 against the Miami Heat but Stoudemire doesn't think it's such a sure bet.

The injured Knicks star said he considers himself "doubtful" for Game 4, just an hour or so after Woodson said he expects to see a Stoudemire return.

Either way, the Knicks are probably in trouble. Without or without Stoudemire, they've been thoroughly outclassed by the Miami Heat while racking up an 0-3 series deficit.

During Thursday's Game 3 it temporarily looked like the Knicks might be able to survive, even thrive, during Stoudemire's absence. But LeBron James netted 17 points in the final quarter and the Heat roared to an 87-70 win that put them one game away from qualifying for the second round.
