According to a report, New York Knicks guard, J.R. Smith, was arrested on Thursday night. Smith was arrested on a warrant for not having a driver's license, according to jail records.
Smith was reportedly stopped on Washington Avenue, but the reason for the stop is unknown.
Seth at Posting and Toasting further investigated J.R. Smith's Twitter, to which he found multiple retweets following the arrest. ESPN New York later reported that Smith was out on bail.
Smith signed with the Knicks mid-season, after spending time playing in China during the NBA Lockout. He averaged 12.5 points off the bench.
