The New York Knicks and Charlotte Bobcats square off on Thursday night in the regular-season finale for each, and though both have something at stake, it's for entirely different reasons.
The Knicks can lock up the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference and a first round date with the Miami Heat in the playoffs with a win. A loss, coupled with a 76ers win on Thursday night, would set New York up with Chicago in the first round.
The Bobcats, meanwhile, are looking to avoid making history, as a loss in the finale would leave them with the worst winning percentage for a season in NBA history. At 7-58, Charlotte has been downright woeful, and currently rides a 22-game losing streak into tonight's action.
The Knicks have every reason to be motivated to win tonight, but trust that the lowly Bobcats with bring the intensity to avoid carving their place in league annals for the wrong reasons.
