Iman Shumpert won't be able to compete in the 2012 Slam Dunk Contest. He has been replaced the Jazz's Jeremy Evans.
Many people were looking forward to watching Shumpert attempt to win the dunk contest with Jeremy Lin grabbing even more assists.
With the voting now completely up to the fans and not voting "experts", most felt that Shumpert was a shoe-in to walk away with the title thanks to Lin being involved and New York being a major market.
Saturday's dunk contest will now feature Paul George of Indiana, Derrick Williams of Minnesota, Chase Budinger of Houston along with Evans.
The rookie's main concern is to just get back on the floor for the Knicks. It's highly doubtful he'll be seen on Wednesday and Thursday against the Hawks and Heat respectively before the All-Star break.
Shumpert's left knee has kept him out of action since defending Dirk Nowitzki in New York's victory over Dallas.
