Knicks vs. Celtics preview: Teams head to Albany for preseason game

Carmelo Anthony has leads the Knicks in scoring this preseason, averaging 21.3 points per game.

The New York Knicks' two game preseason series with the Boston Celtics will wrap up in Albany on Saturday night. The Knicks got the best of Boston last weekend with a 98-95 overtime victory in Hartford.

After winning their first two preseason games, the Knicks suffered a rough 107-88 loss to the Raptors on Friday night in Montreal. The first half ended in a 46-46 tie, but Toronto ran away with the game in the second half. Carmelo Anthony led New York with 24 points, and Amare Stoudemire made his preseason debut, adding 18 points and five rebounds.

Boston, meanwhile, is coming off a 113-85 victory over the Brooklyn Nets. Paul Pierce has led the Celtics in scoring through six preseason games, averaging 16.2 points per game

Last year, the Knicks and Celtics split their season series, 2-2. The home team won in all four contests.
