Knicks Vs. Nuggets Final Score: Nuggets Outlast Knicks, 119-114, In Double Overtime

Forty eight minutes wasn't enough time to settle the score between the New York Knicks and Denver Nuggets on Saturday night, and neither was just one overtime. The Nuggets outlasted the Knicks 119-114 in double overtime, behind 37 points from former Knick Danilo Gallinari.

Carmelo Anthony scored 25 points for the Knicks, but missed 20 of his 30 shots and all but one of his three point attempts. Amare Stoudemire had a similarly-off night, posting just 12 points, six shy of his season average.

Rookie PG Iman Shumpert was again a bright spot for the Knicks, as he played 38 minutes and contributed 18 points coupled with seven assists.

In the end, however, it was the Knicks inability to contain Gallinari that proved the difference. The Italian forward -- who was part of the package New York sent to Denver in exchange for Anthony last season -- nailed 18 of his 20 free throw attempts, and needed just 19 field-goal attempts to score his 37 points.

The Knicks drop to 3-6 at Madison Square Garden on the season, and will next play Tuesday night in Charlotte against the Bobcats.
