No Knicks, Nets Added As 2011 NBA All-Star Game Reserves

No members of the New York Knicks or New York Nets have been added to the Eastern Conference squad as reserves for the 2011 NBA All-Star Game. The official announcement was to be made this evening on TNT.

Amare Stoudemire of the Knicks was previously voted in as an Eastern Conference starter.

Four Boston Celtics were added to the team in voting by the league’s coaches. Kevin Garnett, Rajon Rondo, Ray Allen and Paul Pierce have all been added to the team. In addition to the four Celtics, Chris Bosh of the Miami Heat and Al Horford and Joe Johnson of the Atlanta Hawks were named to the team.

The starters will be Stoudemire, LeBron James and Dwayne Wade of the Miami Heat, Dwight Howard of the Orlando Magic and Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls.

The Western Conference squad is as follows:

Starters will be Kobe Bryant of the Lakers, Chris Paul of the New Orleans Hornets, Kevin Durant of the Thunder and Carmelo Anthony of the Denver Nuggets. A replacement will be announced for the injured Houston Rockets center Yao Ming, who was voted in as a starter.

Reserves will be Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili of the San Antonio Spurs, Deron Williams of the Utah Jazz, Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder, Dirk Nowitzki of the Dallas Mavericks, Blake Griffin of the Los Angeles Clippers and Pau Gasol of the Los Angeles Lakers.
