If there's one thing the NBA has done extremely well this year, it's build drama. Over the summer, over-the-top hype managed to turn Lebron James' free agency into a television event, "The Decision". James eventually picked the Miami Heat. Over the course of the past two weeks, it was all about which franchise was willing to blow up their team for a shot at Carmelo Anthony. Earlier this week, Anthony decided to end the "Melo-Drama" and picked the New York Knicks.

- Another trading-block star, Deron Williams, posted a double-double Saturday night, but couldn't help his team pull out a victory. The New Jersey Nets lost 123-108 at the Houston Rockets. ↵
- Saturday afternoon, senior guard Dwight Hardy netted a collegiate-best 34 points to propel the St. John's Red Storm past the Villanova Wildcats, 81-68. Currently, the Red Storm are in the drivers seat for a double-bye in the upcoming 16-team Big East Tournament, March 8-12. ↵
- In the nation's capital, the Syracuse Orange earned their fourth straight win by downing Big East rival the Georgetown Hoyas, 58-51. ↵
