New York Knicks: The Knicks began the Carmelo Anthony era with a 114-108 victory over Milwaukee. Anthony had 27 points and Chauncey Billups had 21, so the Carmelo & Amare Stoudemire tandem is off to a good start.

New Jersey Nets: The Nets hauled in their own superstar Wednesday, swinging a trade for Utah point guard Deron Williams. Williams will debut for the Nets Friday in San Antonio vs. the Spurs.
