The NBA officially announced its Christmas Day schedule on Friday, and the New York Knicks -- as expected -- will host the Boston Celtics at noon on TNT. The rematch of last year's playoffs will open the NBA season.
The Christmas Day slate also includes four other games. The Dallas Mavericks host the Miami Heat at 2:30 in a rematch of the NBA Finals, the Los Angeles Lakers host the Chicago Bulls at 5 p.m., the Oklahoma City Thunder host the Orlando Magic at 8:30 p.m. and the NBA Christmas quintuple-header will finish with the Golden St. Warriors hosting the Los Angeles Clippers at 10:30 p.m.
The full regular season schedules have not yet been released, but each team will play a 66-game campaign. Training camps and the free agency period will open on Dec. 9 as long as the league officially ratifies the new collective bargaining agreement that has been tentatively agreed to.
