If you watched the Knicks last year, you're going to have some trouble recognizing this year's squad. With most of last season's team expiring this summer, the Knicks went out and bought themselves an Amar'e Stoudemire. With a newfound glut at power forward and LeBron headed to Miami, the Knicks went ahead and signed-and-traded David Lee to the Warriors for the burly, beardy Ronny Turiaf, the young and electric Anthony Randolph, and the sharp but hobbled Kelenna Azubuike. With the remaining cap space, the Knicks filled their hole at point guard with Raymond Felton, bolstered the center position with Russian import Timofey Mozgov, and added a shooter in Roger Mason, Jr.
Training camp starts Saturday Sept. 25th, at which point the Knicks will run two-a-days until Wednesday, when they'll head to Europe for some exhibition games. With plenty of depth and the starting shooting guard and center spots still relatively up in the air, training camp will be chock full of intriguing position battles.
