- Sorry, New Jersey Nets fans. Your team still stinks, as shown Tuesday night in its eighth straight loss, this time 82-77 to Philadelphia. Oh, and Carmelo Anthony is not riding to the rescue. At least not now. A Twitter report of an Anthony trade to New Jersey has been discounted. ↵
- The New York Knicks don't stink any longer. They get a chance to show tonight whether or not they truly can play with the big boys of the Eastern Conference when they host the conference's best team, the Boston Celtics, at Madison Square Garden. ↵
- The New Jersey Devils have placed Brian Rolston on waivers. You have to wonder if this is the first of many moves to come for the vastly disappointing Devils. ↵
- The New York Yankees did not get Cliff Lee. The free-agent market has not been a total bust, though, as the Yankees did sign catcher Russell Martin. They also signed former Cub ace Mark Prior, giving him another opportunity for a comeback. See Pinstripe Alley for details. ↵
- The New York Giants are No. 8 and the New York Jets have tumbled out of the top 10 in the last SB Nation NFL Power Rankings. ↵
- Joe Caporoso says the New York Jets are underdogs again. ↵
