Morning Coffee! Carmelo Anthony Is Not Headed To New Jersey

  • Sorry, New Jersey Nets fans. Your team still stinks, as shown Tuesday night in its eighth straight loss, this time 82-77 to Philadelphia. Oh, and Carmelo Anthony is not riding to the rescue. At least not now. A Twitter report of an Anthony trade to New Jersey has been discounted.

  • The New York Knicks don't stink any longer. They get a chance to show tonight whether or not they truly can play with the big boys of the Eastern Conference when they host the conference's best team, the Boston Celtics, at Madison Square Garden.

  • The New Jersey Devils have placed Brian Rolston on waivers. You have to wonder if this is the first of many moves to come for the vastly disappointing Devils.
