  • A report says the Denver Nuggets are finally convinced they have to deal Carmelo Anthony. The New York Knicks and New Jersey Nets seem to be the most likely suitors, so that should make things interesting around here for NBA fans.

  • The New York Yankees are waiting ... and waiting ... and waiting some more for a decision from free-agent pitcher Cliff Lee. It's pretty much all they can do at this point. That and go to church and do a whole lot of praying that he decides the Bronx is the place he needs to be.

  • A bad night for the New Jersey Nets. They lost in Avery Johnson's return to Dallas, and point guard Devin Harris got hurt again.
  • ↵
  • The New York Rangers defeated Ottawa, and the New York Islanders lost to Boston in NHL action. What else would you have expected?

  • Howard Megdal turns poetic to point out the obvious -- the Yankees are old.

  • A quick note for New York Red Bulls fans. There is a new lead blogger over at Once A Metro, and that site is once again churning out posts about your team.
