The New York Jets announced on Thursday that the team signed seventh-round pick Jordan White. He agreed to terms on a four-year deal worth $2.145 million with a $45,896 signing bonus. White was the final player out of eight in the Jets' 2012 draft class to sign a deal.
White, a wide receiver from Western Michigan, has a contract, but he will not see much action until training campstarts. He is recovering from a fractured metatarsal in his left foot. Injuries plagued White throughout his college career.
Nevertheless, head coach Rex Ryan is optimistic about what the rookie receiver can do once he is healthy.
"We're excited about him," Ryan said. "He works his tail off. It's unfortunate that he had that break of a foot, but he's training hard."
