Jets Sign 3rd Round Pick Demario Davis To 4-Year Contract, According To Report

Inside linebacker Demario Davis has signed a four-year contract with the New York Jets, an anonymous source told The Newark Star-Ledger. Davis was selected with the 77th overall pick in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft. The Jets have yet to officially announce the deal.

The 6'2, 239-pound linebacker out of Arkansas State reportedly practiced with the Jets' top defensive subs during Thursday's OTA practice. Head coach Rex Ryan recently honored Davis with some high praise, comparing the 23-year-old's leadership qualities with those of Ray Lewis, who Ryan coached in Baltimore.

The Jets now have yet to ink just one of their eight draft picks from April: Seventh round wide receiver Jordan White out of Western Michigan.
