New York Jets On 'Hard Knocks' Still A Possibility, According To Report

The New York Jets might still be in the mix for the HBO television show "Hard Knocks."

The Atlanta Falcons passed on the opportunity to be featured on the show, leaving the door open for another team to have its preseason and training camp documented. The Jets, according to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News, are one of the teams being considered.

For obvious reasons, HBO would like to have the Jets back on the show. The 2010 series that chronicled the Jets was widely adored, as Rex Ryan's colorful personality made the team fun and the television show attractive to viewers. Add Tim Tebow to the recipe and "Hard Knocks, New York Jets 2012" has the potential to be incredible.

But also for obvious reasons, the Jets seem skeptical about being the center of the professional football world's attention. They stumbled to an 8-8 record last season as their locker room experienced considerable amounts of turmoil. Fighting to regroup from dysfunctional behavior is difficult. Fighting to do so in front of a nationally televised audience is probably more so.
