Jets 2012 Undrafted Free Agents: Three QBs Coming To Rookie Mini-Camp

The New York Jets appear to be getting ready to hold more than one quarterback derby this season. We know all about the Mark Sanchez-Tim Tebow battle to be the No. 1 quarterback — you know, the obvious competition the Jets say does not exist.

Well, the Jets also appear to collecting quarterbacks who might be able to fight for the No. 3 job, or a practice squad spot.

The Jets have now collected a trio of undrafted free agent quarterbacks — Matt Simms of Tennessee (son of Phil Simms), G.J. Kinne of Tulsa and Dan DiLella of UAlbany. DiLella has been training with former Giants quarterback Scott Brunner.

Greg McElroy is currently the Jets No. 3 quarterback. It would appear, however, that the former Alabama signal-caller is going to have plenty of competition to keep that job this season.
