The New York Jets have the 15th pick in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft Friday night, 47th overall. After the Jets selected North Carolina defensive end Quinton Coples with their first-round pick, 16th overall, here is what mock drafts from Mel Kiper and Scouts Inc. predict the Jets will do in Round 2.
Both mock drafts go to the offensive side of the ball, but at different positions.
Kiper selects Illinois OG/OT Jeff Allen for the Jets, saying “I think he’ll move inside, but could see time as a right tackle.” Scouts Inc. goes with a wide receiver with this pick, selecting Brian Quick of Appalachian State. The Jets can use help in both places as the offensive line struggled in 2011, and they could also use a play-making wide receiver.
The Jets have the 14th pick of the third round, the 77th overall selection of the draft.
