NFL Mock Draft 2012: Melvin Ingram, Trent Richardson To The Jets

The first round of the 2012 NFL Draft is inching closer, and that means it's time for a few more mock drafts to prime Jets fans for what may lie ahead.

MockingTheDraft.com released it's final mock, and, like many other sites, has the Jets targeting Melvin Ingram of South Carolina at pick 16.

Says MTD about the pick:

Rex Ryan loves pass rushers and his best one, Calvin Pace, is 31 and only had 4.5 sacks last season. Aaron Maybin is a nice story, but his consistency is a complete unknown. There has been speculation that he loves Ingram and wants him to be his own version of Terrell Suggs.

Meanwhile, Ryan Van Bibber over at SBNation.com has the Jets pouncing on the latest rumor to hit the circuit, and that is a trade up scenario to pick number five for the chance to draft Trent Richardson for Alabama.

Says Van Bibber:

This is the hot rumor right now, that most people are buying as a very real possibility. He would certainly help Mark Sanchez, who is not a good quarterback. And what about the "devaluation" of the position? Cosell noted that phenomenon in the basement of the Waldorf, calling it a "philosophical abstraction." In his eyes, Richardson is a "special player" and will be a top pick in the draft.

Would you be happy with either picks, Jets fans?
