Compensatory picks are determined by a formula that looks at how many compensatory free agents a team has gained and lost. The formula also includes salary, playing time and honors taken home by players during the season.

The Jets lost Drew Coleman, Braylon Edwards, Shaun Ellis, Brad Smith, Steve Weatherford and gained no compensatory free agents over the period determined by the formula.
