The New York Jets announced Wednesday that the team has re-signed kicker Nick Folk. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The 27-year old hit 19 out of 25 field goal attempts during 2011 with a season long of 51 yards. He also drilled all 42 extra points, giving him a perfect 212 for 212 record on PATs during his career. He has made 113 of 145 field goal attempts during his five years as a pro.
The New York Daily News reports that Folk could still have some competition. A source told the Daily News that the Jets still plan to bring in another kicker to push Folk in training camp for the starting job.
