2012 NFL Mock Draft, New York Jets: Draft Tek Chooses Melvin Ingram, OLB, South Carolina

In the latest seven-round 2012 NFL Mock Draft from Draft Tek, the Draft Tek simulator has selected Melvin Ingram, OLB, South Carolina for the New York Jets with the 16th overall selection of the first round.

Draft Tek says:

“Pass rush is a need for the Jets going into 2012 as several of their current OLBs are free agents (Maybin RFA, Westerman RFA, Thomas UFA). If Ingram is still on the board when the Jets pick at #16, he’s got to be the #1 contender. If he (and Upshaw) are gone? Hard to say – but Adams and Barron are possibilities.”

Here are the remaining selections for the Jets in the Draft Tek mock:

Round 2 (47th overall) — LaMichael James, RB, Oregon
Round 3 (78th overall) — George Iloka, FS, Boise State
Round 4 (108th overall) — Tony Bergstrom, OT, Utah
Round 5 (146th overall) — Jermaine Kearse, WR, Washington
Round 6 (177th overall) — Ryan Van Bergen, DE, Michigan
Round 7 (207th overall) — Winston Guy, SS, Kentucky
