2012 Jets Free Agency: Could Bart Scott Go To The Giants?

With the Jets trying to reshape their roster after a very underwhelming 2011 season, surprising moves may be coming. New York has some cap problems and Bart Scott could be a casualty of those circumstances. None of that is stunning, what could be however is where Scott is rumored to end up.

According to reports, Scott might just move his stuff across the hallway at MetLife Stadium.

This doesn't make a whole lot of sense on the surface.

Scott has always played in a 3-4 defensive scheme going all the way back to his days in Baltimore. While the Giants need help at that level, Scott isn't young anymore and hasn't been the same player recently. The linebacker will be 32-years-old before the season starts.

He would be a cheap addition for Jerry Reese's cash-strapped group, but it's tough to envision Scott trying to adjust to a brand-new system at this point in his career.

Scott would be able to stay in the Big Apple, which might be about the only reason to think he could go to Big Blue.

We're not sure where he'll be playing next year, but we can't wait to find out.
