A 31-yard, second-quarter field goal by kicker Nick Folk has helped the New York Jets take a 10-6 halftime lead over the Miami Dolphins in a Week 17 at contest at Sun Life Stadium in Miami, FL. The Jets (8-7) need to defeat the Dolphins (5-10) and then hope a number of things happen in Week 17 for them to sneak in the AFC playoffs.
Folks field goal came with 3:44 remaining in the first half and capped a 12-play, 69-yard drive. The Jets took their lead in the first quarter when tight end Dustin Keller caught a one-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Mark Sanchez, who helped give New York a 7-3 advantage.
The Dolphins have failed to move the ball at all after tallying a field goal on their first possession of the game.
Jets wide receiver Jeremy Kerley has compiled 40 passing yards and 30 receiving yards.
