Jets 32, Jaguars 3: Post-Game Notes

Here are a few notes from Sunday’s 32-3 victory by the 2-0 New York Jets over the 1-1 Jacksonville Jaguards.

- The Jets are 5-1 wearing their Titans throwback jerseys, and have now won five consecutive games while wearing them.

- Jacksonville quarterback Luke McCown was just six-of-19 for 59 yards with four interceptions. He finished with a 1.8 passer rating, the lowest ever registered by a quarterback against the Jets. The previous low was 5.4 by Jim Plunkett of the New England Patriots in 1972.

- Antonio Cromartie contributed to the Jets win in all three phases. On defense, he intercepted two passes for 63 yards. On special teams, he averaged 42.5 yards on two kickoff returns. He also entered the game on offense, registering the first rushing attempt of his career when he took a reverse for one yard, the first rushing attempt by a defensive back in the NFL since former Cardinals DB Antrel Rolle carried for nine yards against Vikings (12/09/09).

Later in the second quarter, Cromartie intercepted a McCown pass for his first pick of the season and the 19th of his career, returning the ball 37 yards. He intercepted another pass in the third quarter, returning the ball 27 yards to the one-yard line. His last two interception performance came against the Jets (09/22/08) while he was with San Diego.
