Oops, he did it again. New York Jets coach Rex Ryan has once again put the Super Bowl monkey on his team's back, guaranteeing the Jets will win the 2012 Super Bowl title.
↵While attending Friday night’s Lakers-Knicks game, Ryan told the New York Post that "there’s no way we don’t get it done next year." He also said to MSG’s Jill Martin at halftime,"[N]ext year I know we’ll win it."
↵Jets fans, and everyone else who follows the NFL, should be used to this by now. Rex is going to bluster and boast and blabber. Maybe he should be quiet, coach his team and stop talking until the Jets actually win.
↵No way any coach for any team should be making guarantees about next season at this point. We have no idea if there is even going to be a next season, much less what the rosters will look like.
↵After two straight disappointments and a whole host of statements that have backfired Ryan would be well advised to just stay out of the predictions business.
