A 51-yard field goal by kicker Nick Folk has helped the New York Jets earn a 13-13 tie with the Washington Redskins in a Week 13 match up, which enters the fourth quarter. Folk's second field goal of the day capped a seven-play, 14-yard drive that was setup by good field position by New York's punt returner Jim Leonard, who returned a punt to the Redskins' 47-yard line.
The Jets, who trailed 13-10 at halftime, could have a 16-13 advantage, but Folk missed a 40-yard field goal attempt on New York's next possession. That Folk field goal was setup by a fumble by Washington's running back Roy Helu, who coughed up the ball at the Redskins' 24-yard line. New York's recovered the ball at Washington's 29-yard line. Four plays later, Folk missed the kick.
During the third quarter, the Redskins were held to a three-and-out on all four of their offensive possessions. However, Washington will start the fourth quarter will the ball and at its own 14-yard line.
