New York Jets running back Shonn Greene's two-yard touchdown run with 1:19 to go in the first quarter has helped a Week 13 NFL match up against the Washington Redskins enter the second quarter tied at 7. Greene's third touchdown of the season capped a 17-play, 74 yard drive that lasted 9:06. The Jets (6-5) are trying to keep pace in the AFC East playoff race, which currently has them on the outside looking in.
Quarterback Mark Sanchez was 5-of-6 for 46-passing yards on the drive, while Greene carried the ball nine times for 22 yards. Wide receivers Santonio Holmes and Plaxico Burress each caught two passes for a combined total of 31 yards.
Greene's touchdown answered a touchdown drive by the Redskins (4-7), who capped a eight-play, 82-yard, game-opening drive with a two-yard touchdown by running back Roy Helu.
The Redskins will begin the second quarter with the ball at their own 36-yard line.
