Eagles Vs. Jets First Quarter Score: Jets Trail, 14-0

The Philadelphia Eagles lead the New York Jets 14-0 after the first quarter of play at Lincoln Financial Field.

Eagles defensive end Juqua Parker had the first score of the first quarter on a 46-yard fumble return for a touchdown. Parker picked up the fumble by Santonio Holmes who caught a pass from Mark Sanchez but was stripped. Parker had good blocking in front of him and was untouched as he ran in for the score.

The Eagles extended their lead later in the quarter when Michael Vick capped a seven-play, 77-yard drive with a 26-yard touchdown pass to Brent Celek. Celek was being tackled short of the end zone but was not going to be denied on the play.

The Jets could only manage 38 yards of offense in the first quarter while the Eagles had 129 yards. Philadelphia will be on offense again as the second quarter begins.
