Jets-Bills was a highly anticipated game slated to give the world a better understanding of what’s happening atop of the AFC East. Instead, through a half, we’ve seen a downright sloppy game completely devoid of any rhythm. New York and Buffalo have combined for four turnovers in the first half and just three points. Those came on a 49-yard Nick Folk field goal in the second quarter to cap a 10-play, 44-yard New York drive. So far, that’s all we got goin’ on.
For what it’s worth, the Jets dominated play in the first half. New York out-gained Buffalo 191-73 in the half. The Jets’ time of possession clocked in at 20:47, while the Bills had the ball for just 9:13.
Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez is 13-of-18 for 137 yards and one interception. Shonn Greene has now carried 11 times for 52 yards.
One reason the Bills remain in the game is because the Jets have already been penalized six times for 40 yards.
