Jets Vs. Bills Score Update: Scoreless After One

The Buffalo Bills and New York Jets remain scoreless after the first quarter of their pivotal Week 9 matchup in Ralph Wilson Stadium. Thus far, New York has had the ball the majority of the game, nearly doubling Buffalo’s time of possession in the first quarter. Mark Sanchez has started out hot: the Jets QB is currently 6-of-7 for 70 yards. The one incompletion resulted in a Buffalo interception by safety Jairus Byrd. Jets running back Shonn Greene is off to a nice start, carrying nine times for 49 yards.

The Jets made shutting down dynamic Buffalo running back Fred Jackson a point of emphasis this week, and so far they’ve fared well enough. Jackson carried six times for 29 yards in the first quarter. Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick is currently 3-of-4 for 20 yards.

The Jets hold a big advantage in total yards, out-gaining the Bills 118 to 49 early on.
