The New York Jets might get Pro Bowl center Nick Mangold back Sunday for their key AFC East game against the New England Patriots. Mangold has missed the last two games, both Jets losses, with a high ankle sprain. He was limited in practice Friday and has been listed as questionable for Sunday’s game in Foxboro.
“He’s questionable for the game. I feel good about it though,” said Jets coach Rex Ryan.
Earlier in the week Ryan talked about how much having Mangold on the field could help the Jets offense.
“Well, I think he is the best in the league,” Ryan said. “He’s a great player, but also he’s got a great grasp of our system. There’s a great comfort level with everybody that plays. You know where he’s going to be and everything else. So, that’s a huge plus for us.”
