Terrell Owens Workout: Giants And Jets Should Stay Away From T.O.

Terrell Owens held a workout today and no one showed up -- except for NFL Network cameras, that is. The 38-year-old Owens is trying to somehow convince NFL teams that he deserves another chance in the NFL after reconstructive knee surgery this spring.

"I only need one team," Owens said. "I only need one chance."

Should either the New York Giants or New York Jets give T.O. that chance? I would think fans of both local teams would say no.

The Giants lost wide receiver Steve Smith to free agency, but have replaced him quite well with Victor Cruz. They also have third-year receiver Ramses Barden ready to come off the PUP list. There would seem to be no reason for the Giants to bring on the mercurial Owens.

The Jets recently parted ways with veteran Derrick Mason, brought in to try and add another receiving option for Mark Sanchez. The Jets still have Santonio Holmes and Plaxico Burress, though, and enough egos to fill a warehouse. T.O. would be a bad idea for them, too.
