Jets Vs. Chargers Wednesday Injury Report

Center Nick Mangold and cornerback Antonio Cromartie missed practice Wednesday for the New York Jets, but both players are expected to play in Sunday's game against the Chargers. Cromartie hurt his groin in the fourth quarter of Monday night's victory over the Miami Dolphins, but ESPN New York is reporting the injury is not expected to be serious. Mangold has started the past two games for the Jets, but has yet to entirely recover from the high-ankle sprain he sustained Week 2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Joining the two on the sidelines were defensive end Ropati Pitoitua (knee), running back LaDainian Tomlinson (not injury-related) and cornerback Isaiah Trufant (hamstring). Running back Joe McKnight (knee) practiced, but with limited participation.

Cornerback Marquice Cole (hamstring), defensive tackle Marcus Dixon (knee), long snapper Tanner Purdum (back), cornerback Donald Strickland (concussion) and defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson (shoulder) all participated fully in the practice.
